Well you all might know that I went on a bit of a bird hunting bender. I hunted birds for 5 straight days ranging from doves and pigeons to grouse, pheasant, quail and chukar.
Day one was pigeons and dove, day 2 was pheasants in Vale, Oregon. Kip and his friend Neil got to come on that day. Day 3 was blue grouse, and ruffed grouse, high in the central mountains of central Idaho. Day 4 and 5 consisted of chukar and quail on the Salmon River breaks high above the quaint little town of Riggins, Idaho. I had a blast, and so did Jazz. Most of the pictures are from my phone, so they are a little fuzzy. I wish I could have gotten a few more pictures, but there are birds to shoot and oxygen to suck in.
This is above Riggins, about half way up the chukar hill.

Me and Jazz running up river on a jet boat, getting geared up for the day. She thought the boat rides were cool.

Our grouse hunting area. I limited out on grouse this day. Never done that before. I took one blue (dusky) grouse and three ruffs.

After the day of pheasant hunting in Vale, Oregon. We took 32 birds.

And this is my pride and joy, locked up hard on a big ol' rooster in Vale, Oregon.

Had a great time, look forward to more birds to come this year, I only need to take a Hungarian, and a Sage grouse to fill the grand slam of upland birds in Idaho this season. Stay tuned!

WOW! I am sure you and Jazz were in 7th Heaven. What a fun trip for you. Too bad you had to come back to reality and go to work.
